TROPFEST
I've been following Tropfest for the last couple of years and always said to myself "I'm gonna enter the Tropfest next year by making a real cool shortfilm with a nice twisted ending bla bla bla"... I admire short filmakers can tell a beautiful stories within 7 minutes or so. I bought the BMW film festival DVD a while ago and recently Amazon just released a few shorts, a viral to promote what you can buy at Amazon, I suddenly have the urge to do a short to entering the Tropfest next year! But the deadline is getting closer and closes on 20th January 2005! And I haven't even thought of a script yet! If I'm not gonna do it, I never will. So I am gonna use this next 2 months to do something and enter for next year round. Probably is gonna be crappy, or maybe won't get one done before deadline, but I gotta try, something low cost budget production, at least will be my first hand short film experience. No pain, no gain.
Anyone who is going to enter Tropfest next year perhaps can drop me a note and share some thoughts. I am thinking an Umbrella poking right up the arse... would that work?... uhmm... maybe not.... NEXT!
Well, I do have a very clear idea what the script would be, I am sort of half written it. Yes, in fact the story is a love story, a very sad one, is about a Pianist and a deaf girl. Well, I guess you can see me where I am heading to. But for such a short period of time, I don't think I will be able to get it finished before the deadline for Tropfest, so I might have to do it over next year and enter for 2006.
What about yourself? Do you have any idea what you gonna do? Perhaps we can discuss and collaborate.
What you have in mind is actually what I have in mind too. I try to have this amazing script to produce, but till now~~ nothing:-D Do you have in mind about what are you going to make? Probably it's your personal interest about anything. From what I see love is more suitable for you? Maybe you can express something from your love life? Do you think it would be interesting???
