Lara Croft taking over again....
I've been watching alot of movies during this long weekend so be prepared for lots of reviews for the next few blog entries. I did bit of shopping last Saturday, and met Jay for Mr. & Mrs. Smith afterwards at Chatswood Westfield. The title wasn't that appealing to me to be honest, and the script is a bit silly as well, but the trailer seems to make it a fun movie to watch for an easy weekend, so I gave it a go.
If you haven't know, the movie is about an odd couple (Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie) with a marriage problem, where both has a secret hiding from each other. They are both professional assissins, working for 2 different agents. At home, they act as a couple, but when out, they go separate ways to accomplish their missions. Until one day they've been assigned on the same mission that makes them wondering who their life partner really is.
They found out the opposite identities eventually of course, and decided to eliminate each other since the relationship isn't working out. However, there is always a twist in the end waiting to be revealed.
Surprisingly, I quite enjoyed the movie and it was better than I expected, perhaps I was in silly mood for a silly movie like this one. The movie is half action, and half comedy mixed into one. There are some good action sequences in the movie for sure, especially the car chase scene, I think they did it pretty well. And a particular fighting scene between Brad and Angelina was soo funny especially when Brad keeps kicking Angelina behind the couch. There are many sequences where action takes place, and couple relationship cliche humour fills the gaps. There are all over the place in the movie, but it was all good fun. Overall, I had great time in the cinema laughing along as everybody else. It's one hit wonder for me.
