Our last road trip for year 2005, we went up to the top of Mt Kosciuszko, to conquer the highest mountain in mainland Australia. It is a 13km return trip, I was well knackered by the time we got to the top, not to mention the way back was just as bad. It was rewarding and felt kinda satisfied that I made it to the top.
